HP has a flagship Windows Phone under its sleeve

HP has been out of the smartphone game since quite some time now but according to a new leak it seems that the American company will be re-entering the saturated smartphone market and that too with a bold move by choosing Windows Phone as the operating system. The device dubbed HP Elite x3, had been leaked in a few rumours last year but the new leak is sourced from the reliable Evan Blass.

The device will feature Windows 10 but unlike its predecessor, the HP Elite x2 which was a 2-in-1 Windows device launched in 2012, the new device is expected to feature a normal smartphone like specifications. According to a report by Gsmarena, the device was leaked in December last year and features flagship specifications. The device might come with the latest Snapdragon 820 and will sport a 5.8-inch 2K display. The device might come equipped with a 20Megapixel primary camera and 12Megapixel front facing snapper.
It's highly probable that the device might make its first public appearance in the forthcoming MWC event, which can also prove to be a mega launch for the Windows Phone segment. The introduction of this device will give Windows Phone enthusiasts a choice to try a manufacturer other than Microsoft.
